Our actions

Circular economy and responsible consumption

We have focused on reusing and recycling our stands, reducing non-recyclable materials by 5%, increasing reusable stands by 10%, using polypropylene in graphic elements, and completely eliminating PVC. To address waste management, we support responsible waste management by placing an adequate number of recycling bins throughout the event area.

Relamping project

Halogen lamps in pre-fitted stands were completely replaced with LED lamps, resulting in an estimated reduction in energy consumption for stand lighting of over 60% compared to traditional technology.

Starting in 2022, the existing lighting fixtures within the exhibition halls, historically equipped with outdated discharge lamps, were also replaced with LED lamps. This intervention is estimated to have resulted in a 59% reduction in energy consumption per kWh.

Inclusion

Strategic collaborations and ongoing dialogue, starting with Pordenone Fiere SpA member municipalities, with local stakeholders, including specific organizations dedicated to promoting and disseminating Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development, associations, trade associations, operators, businesses, and schools, encouraging the participation of all people in events, including the most fragile and vulnerable groups and children.

Special attention is paid to involving students from local schools, through the activation of PCTOs and internships for students from middle and high schools, the ITS Alto Adriatico Foundation, and the Pordenone University Consortium, as well as university students from various universities.

In 2025, Pordenone Fiere held 104 The CareGiving EXPO, the first trade fair dedicated to the care and assistance of the elderly, frail, and disabled.

Accessibility

Special attention is paid to event accessibility, through the continuous elimination of architectural barriers.

The company provides visitors and exhibitors with mobility limitations with suitable aids and vehicles, including three wheelchairs and two light electric quadricycles (Birò). It also offers a qualified accompaniment service for visually or hearing-impaired visitors.

The Zuliani Conference Room is equipped with an assistive system to improve hearing for the hearing impaired. The system connects to a compatible hearing aid and is activated when the person enters the room.

Enhancing the economic impact on the territory

We promote the territory and local businesses and encourage the use of accommodations in Pordenone and the surrounding area, with a particular focus on certified facilities, holiday farms, and multi-purpose hotels.

Alternative mobility

Mobility inside the exhibition centre is managed via an electric golf cart and BIRO’. Birò is a four-wheeled, two-seater electric vehicle manufactured and distributed by the Italian company Estrima, based in Pordenone.

Four electric charging stations are also available for visitors in the Pordenone Fiere parking lot.
